Welcome to Calul, an inclusive home for poetry. "Hakol Calul" in Hebrew means "everything is included." Hebrew is a language built on root words. The root of Calul is KL"L. It primarily signifies "to include," "to encompass," or "to make whole." Klal כְּלָל (totality of entirety) is another word derived from the same root as Calul. As in “Klal” or the entire community and everything therein. Calul is a inclusive space for poets and those who love poetry to come for solace in difficult times because we believe that God looked into the Torah and created the world, and that every poem and every poet is touched by that divine.
